Baby Card

A friend of mine is going to be a grandma and I wanted to make her a card to celebrate. I wanted to make it generic since she doesn't know if it will be a boy or girl yet.

Sympathy Card/Generic Card

This card was made as a Sympathy Card, but could be used for almost anything.  The muted tones could be okay for males even with the flower.  I punched the flower in two different sizes, put it on top of a scalloped circle and topped it with a blue button that matched the same colors as the paper.

Best Wishes Card

I have been wanting to make a monochromatic card for awhile.  I finally put one together this weekend using my Cuttlebug and a Stampin' Up Embossing Folder.  This card is meant as a wedding card, but could also be for any type of "Best Wishes."

Moving/Welcome To Your New Home Card

My parents are moving to a new home and wanted a card to send out to people to let them know their new address.  I took a picture of their door so the card would resemble their actual door.   I ended up making two different cards and they can choose which one they like best.  I couldn't find brick paper so I used my trusty scorer and a sanding block to make the brick pattern stand out a little more. The wreath on the second card and the bush on the first card is made with a McGill branch punch.

Note to self...Make sure you have enough of the colors you need BEFORE you start assembling the cards.  I cut out all of the doors and the top part of the panels and began to assemble them before I realized that I didn't have enough for ALL the panels.  A frantic search to many stores left me empty handed.  I ended up making five completely new doors so everything would match.  Can you say learning experience?

Thinking of You Card

ALL of Archivers stamps are on sale today for 43% off!  I did not control myself too well.  This card was made from two different stamp sets.  The sentiment is from a  Thinking of You set by Words to the Rescue and the other is from Ai Art Impressions called Golden Oldies.  I colored her with my Copic Markers.  It was a fun card to make because I am sure that I look like the gal in the chair sometimes. I certainly know I FEEL like her!  The sentiment could easily be changed to something different depending on the occasion.

Baby Cards/Shower Invite

I bought the pattern for this card from We're Stamping Mad at a Rubber Stamp Expo last weekend.  You can see their website at www.werestampingmad.com 

These cute cards could easily be used as invitations or decorations for a baby shower as well.

I cut the teddy bear and baby bottle right from the paper and mounted them on a one inch circle. Then I filled the design in with liquid glass and glitter.  I think it works well for the teddy bear, but don't think I like it as much on the baby bottle.  I should have just glammed up the milk part with the liquid glass and left it alone.  Oh well, a lesson learned.  The tags are attached with baby pins.

The diaper opens up completely and you can see the sentiment inside.

Notepads/Ghiradelli Purse

I was asked to make some notepads for a women's retreat a couple of months ago.  The original order was for 75 and then changed to 80 the night before they were supposed to be ready.  I couldn't say no if it meant that someone would go without while others around them walked away with a notebook.  My sister-in-law, Jean, was a great help with this project!  The central color for the weekend was purple and daisies so we made the notebooks to match. Also, the Bible Verse for the weekend was referred to on the front of each notebook.

The purses were given to the women who helped plan the retreat as a thank you gift from the coordinator.  I got the idea for the purses from a CTMH consultant, Jan Moxie, a while back and have used the purses many times since then.
