50th Birthday Card

My husband turns 50 at the end of the month. I wanted it to be special, but still wanted to use black because is is turning 50 after all.  I cut squares from pattern paper for the top of the card, put a sheer ribbon towards the bottom and then embossed the Happy Birthday stamp in black.  I popped the 5o up with pop dots so it would stand out against the black background. It is a little hard to see in the picture.  I tried several colors, but decided the black worked best.

The inspiration for this card came from a card I saw on Pinterest.  You can see the original card at http://www.handmadecardsfromtheheart.blogspot.com
